Hi, I'm Alice. I'm interested in how technology (broadly defined) can help us be together in the world. For example:

• How can large groups of people communicate effectively and make good decisions together?
• What would social media look like if it were designed to produce meaningful, in-person interactions?

I'm a PhD student at Oxford, where I work on LLM-based tools to help groups of people find agreement on controversial topics. Before this, I did research on learning and decision-making at NYU. I studied computation and cognition at MIT, and was briefly a software engineer at Flatiron Health.
